Join IBWPPI on Giving Tuesday

IBWPPI MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS

From: The Desk of President Barbara A. Perkins
Dear Members,
What a time in our history? We have just witnessed the highest turnout of voters in a presidential election. What does that mean for all of us? It means that for the first time in a very long time, we are all engaged in the wellbeing of this nation. It means that we are building a momentum of progress and we are all a part of that fundamental change.
Black women and girls continue to be disproportionately at risk for a number of societal ills, yet we also continue to lead and show up for one another. Just look at what Black women are rightfully being credited for in recent weeks. Because of our sheer organizing power, we helped elect Joe Biden as President of the United States of America and Kamala Harris as the first Black woman and woman of color to serve as the Vice President.
We continue to be the forerunners and advocates for justice, equality, love and respect. We refuse to allow compassion to be lost, while hate insinuates it’s self where it is not wanted. We refuse to allow fear to override love and so we step up in the face of fears. We, Black women are the loyalists that change the trajectory of nations and apply forgiveness while in the midst of pain.
I am so happy to have compassionate people like you as supporters of IBWPPI. My note to you this month is to say thank you. Thank you for the unprecedented support through your membership and connections with us and our work. Even in this most difficult year and COVID-19 environment your membership has encouraged us. Without a doubt we do best when our membership is infused with passion and enthusiasm to be of service. Therefore, my ask of you for this Giving Tuesday, which is on December 1st, is to simply renew your membership with IBWPPI for 2021.
Your membership cost is .28 cents a day. This $100 annual contribution allow us to build a powerful coalition of supporters in the US and aboard. Would you renew your membership today? We want to come into 2021 with our full membership standing with us. Renew here. Then sign up today to attend our Giving Tuesday Virtual Happy Hour on December 1st at 7:30 pm ET.
Again, thank you for a safe 2020 and I look forward to a brighter 2021.
Continue to be well and be safe.
Barbara A. Perkins,
IBWPPI Co-founder and President
