Biography Simone Smith-Bean –

Executive Board Member, Financial Secretary and Director of the International Black Women’s Public Policy Institute. Simone Is the Owner and Managing Director of Smith Bean & Company Limited/ SBC Corporate Services Limited. Her specialty ranges from Civil Litigation to FinTech and Innovation Law.  SBC operates in three Countries, Bermuda, The Bahamas and the USA. 

She is a graduate of the University of Tampa where she obtained her Associate of Arts Degree in Government and Word Affairs. A graduate of the University of Buckingham, in Buckingham, United Kingdom where she successfully obtained her Bachelors of Law Degree with Honors. She was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in July 2008, The Bahamas Bar in 2008 and The Bermuda Bar in 2012. She is a former Member of the Human Rights Selection Committee of Bermuda in 2014. She has also been a member of Toast Masters International since 2007. She is the wife of the former Leader of the Opposition Progressive Labour Party the Honourable Marc A.R. Bean J.P., M.P.. Through her platform as the wife of the Party Leader she established a charity called the “We Care Project” designed to address child poverty in Bermuda. 

Simone and Marc have four lovely Children between them.
