Help Us Hold the Line: IBWPPI Needs You Right Now

Dear Members, Supporters and Friends,

Help Us Continue the Work – A $20 Gift Can Keep Us Moving Forward

Dear Beloved IBWPPI Family – Current Members, Past Members, and Supporters,

Since 2009, the International Black Women’s Public Policy Institute (IBWPPI) has answered the call to serve locally, nationally, and globally. For 17 years, we have been fueled by faith, love, and the unwavering commitment of passionate Black women who personally funded and sustained this work. We have never waited for permission to lead; we simply did the work.

From helping families recover after devastating natural disasters in Mississippi, Houston,

California, and the Bahamas, to operating a birthing center in Kumasi, Ghana, saving the lives of mothers and babies. We have been there. We have supported women farmers, sponsored the education of girls and boys in Africa and the Caribbean, and we continue to empower future leaders through our Dorothy I. Height Global Leadership Academy, where we have graduated now 84 women, and our fifth Cohort in June of this year.

But today, we are facing one of the most challenging financial times since our beginning.

The current political climate has created barriers to funding, and Black-led organizations like ours are being targeted and marginalized in both subtle and overt ways. Many of our past funding sources have dried up, not due to lack of impact, but due to shifting priorities that often leave our communities behind.

Despite these challenges, we are not discouraged, and we commit to doing all that we can to sustain ourselves and continue the much-needed work and service to others.

As women of faith and strong leadership, we are standing together, strategizing, collaborating, and building new paths toward sustainability. Our goal is to become self-sufficient so that our mission continues, without interruption, regardless of who decides to support us, and today, we need your help.

We are asking you to make an immediate donation of at least $20 and ask one other person to do the same. Your gift will help us get through the summer and keep essential programs running, including our leadership training, maternal health initiatives, and emergency response efforts.

Here is how you can give:

(Zelle transfers go directly to the organization’s account with no processing fees.)

  • Or use the Donate Button on Our Website:

www.ibwppi.org (small fees may apply)

Your $20 donation can have a powerful impact. It’s not just a donation it’s an act of solidarity. A statement that our work matters. That Black women leading with purpose will not be silenced or sidelined.

Thank you for standing with us through every season, every challenge, and every triumph.

In gratitude and determination,

Dr. Barbara A. Perkins
