Opal Enriquez was born in the country of Belize and migrated to the United States along with her family shortly after her completion of her primary school education. With newfound opportunity to explore her talent, she attended Hamilton High School Academy of Music, where she was awarded an NAACP scholarship to study dance and choreography at Lula Washington Dance Theatre. There she developed her expertise in Ballet, Modern dance, Acting and Theatre Production. Her artistic resume includes award show performances, tours, and music videos alongside artist such as Ashanti, Wycleff Jean and Missy Elliot. As a professional model she has appeared on the fashion runways and print ads of Alexander Mc Queen and Project Runway winner and celebrity designer Michael Costello.
Opal is a graduate of Loma Linda University in the field of Cardio-Pulmonary Science and is currently serving on the COVID-19 -19 frontline as a Neonatal and pediatric clinical specialist in Respiratory Care. When she takes a break from saving the lives of premature infants, u will find spreading the word of financial literacy as a licensed insurance agent and financial services professional. Her passion for helping others extends to her charity work as Public Relations Director for God’s Army United Services, a nonprofit organization which provides healthy food for families across Los Angeles County.
Opal was crowned Miss Belize Independence (1998), Miss California Caribbean (2001) and Miss Pan-American International (2003), which, to date is the highest international crown ever captured by a Belizean. She is the former National and Creative Director of the Miss Belize Pageant and is credited for returning the prestigious Miss Universe Franchise to Belize in 2017 after a ten-year hiatus.
Opal recently developed her own line of organic skin care products (Opal’s Glow) as an expression of her passion for empowering women through celebrating their confidence and natural beauty.
