Mekia Mason is an Elementary Guidance Counselor who works with students between the age of 5 and 12 years old to carefully steer them in the direction towards self-fulfillment and holistic development. After spending nearly six years working closely with elementary school aged children, firstly, as a School Social Worker and now as a Guidance Counselor, she believes that it is crucial to protect the mental health and well-being of our future, our children. Mekia is passionate about cultivating the minds of young children by encouraging them to strive for excellence and individuality. She believes that this form of guidance will foster budding leaders and agents of change, which the world desperately needs. Mekia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology & Sociology from St. Francis Xavier University and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Development from Barry University.
