Nnenna Onwuzo

My name is Nnenna Onwuzo. I currently live in Houston, Texas. I am a lifelong learner with a flair for trade and business. While preparing to be a good leader with a doctorate in Leadership and global business, I have just completed a leadership development program at the Dorothy I Height Global Leadership Academy. The goal is to transform me, people, and organizations. I believe these programs will improve my leadership, entrepreneurial skills, and business-oriented critical thinking abilities to face today’s dynamic world. In addition, be an expert in business management, adding value to the private and public sectors.

I worked in Nigeria’s banking and power sectors for about 16 years, particularly developing new business relationships, identifying clients’ needs, and matching them to appropriate products. Also, I created quality risk assets for the bank, generating income while adding value to clients as I headed private banking and branches in Enugu and Abuja, Nigeria. I have a record of fulfilling commercial relationships while driving revenue and income expectations and standards.

Besides working in the private sector, I own and manage a retail jewellery business that regularly takes me to Italy and Dubai. I catered for a niche in society, continually creating new designs and hunting for ready designs to meet my clients’ ever-changing needs.

I obtained a BA (Hons) in Business Accounting from the University of Hull, UK, in 1997 and an MBA in Nigeria in 2004. I am also a student of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants in the UK and an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria.

I am an active member of the Society of St Vincent the Paul in Nigeria, a charity organization that caters to the poor and the needy. I am always ready and willing to serve. I also enjoy travelling and meeting people; an adventurous lady who loves exploring new places.
