Let’s Talk About Black Women’s Health

Welcome to our online event, to hold an informative and empowering conversation about Black Women’s Maternal Health Disparities.

Each year in the United States, hundreds of women die during pregnancy or in the year after. These deaths are especially tragic because 80% of pregnancy-related deaths are preventable. According to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), Black women are three times more likely to die from a pregnancy-related cause than White women.

Multiple factors contribute to these disparities, such as variations in quality healthcare, underlying chronic conditions, structural racism, and implicit bias.

Join us for a critical conversation to raise awareness about inequities in maternal health outcomes and discuss solutions to address the disparities.
