Carmin R. Brown

Carmin R. Brown is the Multi-Cultural Business Alliance Manager, in the Social Innovation division, at Toyota Motor North America, Inc. (TMNA).  Carmin is responsible for leading and supporting strategic development plans for multicultural community partners (i.e. African American, Women, Latino, Native American, etc.) in alignment to Social Justice initiatives. Carmin has also managed Toyota’s national and regional philanthropic non-profit organizations and community partnerships, which includes disaster relief, food insecurity and grant-giving.

Her prior role was the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Strategy Advancement Leader at TMNA. In this role, she engaged with Toyota’s executive leaders and their external Diversity Advisory Board (DAB) members in developing sustainable business strategies for the company. 

Carmin has been with the company for over 16 years in various positions within HR, D&I and community development arenas. She completed her undergraduate degree in Journalism at Ohio University (O.U.) and obtained her Master of Human Resource Management degree from University of Cincinnati (U.C.). 

Carmin volunteers several times a year for many local non-profit organizations including Minnie’s Food Pantry and North Texas Food Bank. She is Toyota’s national lead coordinator for National Urban League and formally Emmitt Smith Charities. She is currently a member of multiple Business Partnering Groups (BPGs) as well as the Reach program, which was created by a Toyota executive to support the advancement and development of women of color. Carmin enjoys serving at her church, mentoring local youth, traveling and spending time with friends and family. 

Carmin is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and resides in Plano, TX.
