Michelle is a Director, Division Administrative Manager of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Southwest Division. She is a trailblazer who has developed and transformed to one of the most highly respected Black/African American women in not only Bank of America Merrill Lynch but also the Greater Los Angeles community.
Michelle’s career in the financial services industry spans over 20 years in various leadership roles. In Michelle’s current role, she has primary responsibility for supervision functions within the division ensuring appropriate supervisory controls are in place to adhere to firm as well as regulatory policies and procedures.
In 2017, Michelle received the distinct honor of being selected as one of Black Enterprise Most Powerful Women in Business, which is an exclusive listing of the highest-ranking and most influential African American female executives. She is a 2016 recipient of the GLAAACC Community Service Award, as well as 2015 ‘We See You’ Awards honoree’. She appeared in the Los Angeles Sentinel in 2013 and 2015 as part of a series featuring African American Executives at Bank of America. Her board memberships consist of USC Black Alumni Advisory Council as well as Vice-Chair of the Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce Education Fund and Foundation board.
She is a member of the Black Executive Leadership Council, the Black Professional Group, and Co-Chair of the African American Leadership Team in addition to supporting various other community outreach projects. Michelle has a number of Financial Industry Regulatory Authority licenses and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix graduating with honors.
Her dedication to build up and stay active in the community continues to set her apart from others. Michelle has created an environment that allows her to work continually on enhancing client relationships, building teams, and mentoring in both the corporate and private sectors. Her passion is working with our youth to help them realize their full potential through financial acumen, higher education, determination, and drive.
With all this being said, Michelle’s children, family, friends, career, and making a positive impact with everyone she encounters offers her great passion and purpose in life. Michelle and her family live in the Los Angeles area.
