Director's Biographic Brief

Juanita Palacios-Sims


Juanita Palacios-Sims is of Cuban and Colombian descent and speaks fluent Spanish. Ms. Palacios-Sims has a vast professional portfolio as an accountant in the entertainment industry for more than 15 years, a business manager for various salsa music groups, Director of Client Services at Management Company and currently a Travel Consultant / Entrepreneur. She graduated from the University of Phoenix where she received her Bachelor of Science Business and Administration and Management degrees. In 2012, Ms. Palacios-Sims graduated from the Los Angeles African-American Women’s Public Policy Institute (LAAAWPPI) at USC. Her degrees, experience, and skill-sets have contributed to the continuing success of several companies.

In October 2010, Ms. Palacios-Sims founded the International Society of Black Latinos. The primary objective of the organization is to bring awareness of Black Latino cultures and to make a difference in the education and health care of children both in our communities and abroad.

Her deep connection in society helps fuse community and corporate relationships. Ms. Palacios-Sims has been a mentor for young girls for many years and is dedicated to helping empower young women both emotionally and academically. She is currently a member Board of Directors for Diamond in the Raw and the HerShe Group, both non-profit organizations.
